Highlights

Through all my travels, and I do travel a lot, I have come to realize the importance of enjoying life. This morning before lunch I had some time to stroll through down town Dar, even though it is 35C (95F) today. I came by this new cafe and stepped inside and bought myself a cappuccino and savored the moment...

This past Sunday I was asked to preach at a church in the so called slums of Mwanza. Bishop Lameck Nkumba has become a good friend. He asked me to preach twice, once at 9am and then a second time at 4pm. After preaching the first service where 4 people gave their lives to Jesus an evangelist took stage and preached for well over an hour. We left for lunch around 2pm. When we returned around 5 the church was still semi packed. This service 6 responded and received salvation. Highlights indeed!

Another highlights when I receive a short video with one of the kids from home. I love it. Enjoy life with me for a couple of minutes...

This trip has been highly productive. I have worked o no reparations for three festivals for next year. Meet with central committees, entire organizing committees, shared words of encouragement and been in budget crunching meetings for hours on end.

I love my job! Preparing to reach the unreached around the globe with the best message their is. Could it be any better. Soon we will again be on the harvest field!

You want to join forces and be an SOS Ally? Let me know and we can talk. Would love to connect.

C u soon again!

Happy Fathers Day Sam and Kenneth!

It’s Father’s Day in Sweden today and Peter and I want to say a couple of things about our dads. Our dads really deserve to be honored today. They have lived and live their lives solely to honor God and to build the best life possible for their families.

My dad, Kenneth, is a very practical, hands-on man. He’s strong and I don’t know if there’s anything really that he couldn't master if he put his mind to it J. Dad was called to the mission field when he was little; he’s a missionary, a pioneer and an apostle. He combines building churches, schools and clinics with preaching the gospel and winning the lost. He does what no-one else dares or wants to do. During the civil war in Liberia he still went back to finish the project he started before. The locals called him “Chuck Norris” because he did what nobody else dared… Despite all his sometimes “dangerous adventures” he still found time for us as kids and now as we are adults I can look back and say that dad, you have taught me so much, you are a role model to me and I love you so much!!! /Martina

My dad, Sam has always had a great big heart for people. He has taught me how to simply love people for who they are. It seems to not matter where in the world he is, he finds people to connect with and to love. This passion for people combined with his deep love for Jesus has taken him around the world. As a result I grew up in Pakistan. Yet with all his travels we always did things together as a family. Dad I love you and I'm proud to be your son. You have impacted and touched so many lives by simply being who you are. Thanks for teaching us to love Jesus and walk with Him daily. Dad may you continue endlessly to love people till the day Jesus takes you home and you finish your race strong! /Peter

We love you dad!

In Tanga

This is what I woke up this morning. Great view in between the rain showers.

Yesterday we invited all the bishops of Tanga to a meeting so I could share the vision first with the key leaders in the city.

We met for two hours an they were all so excited over what God wants to do in their city. It has now been over ten years since the last major citywide event took place.

Bishop Dedu was chosen as the committee chairman.

We all agreed that Usagara ground is the best place for the Signs & Wonders Festival in 2013.

Today we have a vision casting meeting with all the pastors in the city. And last night our East Africa Coordinator Bishop Glorious Shoo arrived and Pastor Huruma Nkone from Dar is on his way.

God is on the move all over Tanzania. I am sensing that god has chosen SOS as his tool to bring unity among church leaders in this nation.

Let us continue to follow the Holy Spirit in His endeavors for the Kingdom.

Stay tuned for more. C u soon again!

14 saved in Tanga

This morning I was asked to preached for Pastor Putaputa in TAG City Centre Church. What a wonderful church this is. I preached on knowing your identity and 14 precious souls accepted Jesus along with about 10 kids. God is on the move in Tanga.

After lunch Pastor Putaputa took me around to see some of the key leaders that we will meet tomorrow. Before heading back to my hotel we stopped by our potential festival site. Check it out:

Orchestrated by God

Mwanza was amazing and we were able to see how things fan out when God is orchestrating things. It do happened that the national leadership for TAG were scheduled to be in Mwanza at the same time. They were to ordain a new bishop for the region. During his speech to the new bishop the superintendent of TAG mentioned the upcoming festival that we have planned and then Bishop Mtokambali went on to brag about our latest festival in Dar. We could not get a better endorsement. WOW

The day after we had a vision-casting meeting with over 80 pastors from several different Pentecostal denominations. They all welcomed us and are standing behind the event. Bishop Isaya was unanimously chosen as the chairman.

This man

Pastor Ezekiel Motto was my host and guide while in Mwanza. What a great man. One of the evangelists in the twin and has a great heart and burden for the lost in the city.
Here is the potential site for the festival:

Tonight I will sleep in Dar and tomorrow I'm off to Tanga. Keep me in your prayers

New Prep Work

Early this morning at around 0230 I landed in Dar-es-Salaam again. Feels soo good to be back in this city. For a change I got my visa first and both bags were on the conveyer belt so I just walked out and was at the hotel 40 mins after we landed. That deserves a WOW!

Even though I had tried my best to stay awake on the final leg from Istanbul I could not fall asleep right away. Think I dozed off sometime after 4am. Woke up after just 4.5 hours and got ready for church. I could not spend a Sunday in Dar without visiting my dear friend Pastor Huruma Nkone and VCC.

Last weekend was their first Sunday in their new tent facility. They have done such an amazing job. Looks great! God is taking Pastor Huruma and VCC to the next level. They have grown since their move.

Tomorrow morning I fly to Mwanza in north western Tanzania on Lake Victoria to begin planning for our festival in June 2013. I will be there for 4 days scouting the city, meeting with key leaders and forming an organizing committee for the festival next year. Exciting days lie ahead. The Mwanza district is very animistic in their belief system even though there are many churches in the central parts of the city. Mwanza is the second city of Tanzania.

On Tuesday the Tanzania Assemblies of God will be installing a new bishop for the region and the entire national leadership for the TAG will be present. Planned Nd orchestrated by God for His glory. The new bishop is very Kingdom minded and sees us coming a s a confirmation. God is one the move my dear friends.

Later in the week I will make my way to the coastal city of Tanga to begin preparations there as well for our July event.

C u soon!

Mobilization, Maintenance and Team Prep

Have now been another week in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, preparing for the June festival.

This time I was not alone. We were five altogether. Lots of laughter and cards in the late evenings...

Ante, my faithful technician was here to do maintenance on our gear. He put in long hours every day - a job well done indeed.

Lance Stoddart and Brett Weaver were here to do prep work for our gigantic team of now 200 people strong coming in June. They have negotiated great deals with hotels, caterers and transportation companies as well as scouted out the. Ott for great places for street ministry.

Johannes Amritzer arrived on Wednesday night and we have had a week of mobilization for the festival. Altogether we have ministered to and challenged over 6,000 for the event.

Many salvations and healings. There is now a stir among the Christians for the event as now that will grow and soon there will be a buzz across the entire city that Jesus is coming to Dar es Salaam.

A very productive week indeed! Thanks for praying with and for us! Souls will enter the Kingdom because of you!

God moves

Walking with God is always interesting. Seeing how he works continues to amaze me. This trip to Tanzania was put together on very short notice. Being here meeting one on one with key bishops and pastors has been orchestrated from heaven. God moves and works from two ends at once.
The unity that has come here among Christian leaders has previously been nonexistent - this according to their own testimony.

God is up to something big this year in Dar.
Isaac is being born!

Today I am preaching for Bishop Mhiche who is out of town. I met with him yesterday concerning the festival and he asked me to preach. 8 precious souls received Jesus and one young lady was beautifully delivered during the first service. 3 more received Christ during the second service.

This afternoon I have an opportunity to speak to representatives from all the Pentecostal Churches in Dar es Salaam. God moves…

Adventure

Arrived back in Dar-es-Salaam last night. This trip was planned on very short notice. The greater the fight they greater the victory. God is up to something big in Dar this year. Giants are humbling themselves for the sake of the Kingdom. Anything can happen.  Was in California this weekend with our dear friend Michael Williams. Pastor Glen Berteau hosted Johannes Amritzer, Erik Dahlström and myself. God showed up in a powerful way at Calvary Temple. Many salvations, healings and deliverances as people encountered LIFE in Jesus.  Living for Jesus everyday is an adventure. Met an interesting man this weekend. Ben has been a millionaire a couple of times. He loves Jesus like few men do. Jesus shined out from him and all he spoke about was Jesus. His stories of how heaven has intervened on his behalf have me goose bumps. I felt the anointing as he spoke. There is not a religious bone in Ben's body. I love it. He is the real deal.  Gotta go. Back in Tanzania!

I am back in Dar. Arrived Friday night without bags. Yesterday I got to go shopping. Found myself a new suit, some shirts and underwear. What is a bag? Easily replaced. We need to cherish the important things in life. The things that really matter for eternity.

God has given us great coordinators in Tanzania - Bishop Glorious Shoo and Dr Huruma Nkone.

The deputy Superintendent of the Tanzania Assembly of God had asked to meet us and we met yesterday at his office. God has something special planned for this nation. I was then asked by my dear friend Pastor Huruma Nkone to preach in his first English service. 3 people gave their hearts to Jesus and then we prayed for all that needed prayer and the entire church came forward. Great time if ministry. Pastor Nkone is building a strong church and God has blessed him with greatness.

Will be here working, preparing for our June festival for ten more days. Stay tuned for more…
